Inspection Services

At Aviation Resources, we don’t just inspect your plane–we I.N.S.P.E.C.T. your aircraft.  Some may call us anal, OCD or excessive, however,  when it comes to safety, we R.E.S.P.E.C.T your desire to keep your life, the lives of your passengers, and your investment SAFE.  Some may value this service, and some may not–that’s okay.  We just want a clear conscience that we’ve done everything we can to keep you and your passengers safe.  Not to say that equipment malfunctions and operator errors won’t happen, but you’ll feel good to know that we did everything possible to keep your airplane operating correctly.

Annual Inspections

Any A&P/IA can perform an annual inspection, but we pride ourselves on the thoroughness of our inspection.  Following a detailed checklist, we note discrepancies small and large and consult with the owner on the available options to address the issue and together decide on the most appropriate course of action.  And our annual inspection is more than just an average inspection.  We include a bunch of extra services at no additional charge, including dynamic tire balancing, a complete wash and wax (assuming time allows), and engine data analysis—to name a few.

Pre-Buy Surveys

When you’re buying a new plane, it is wise to have a pre-buy survey performed to get an unbiased
opinion on the condition of the aircraft.  As a third-party, we have your best interest in mind.
Coupled with our thorough inspection process, experienced mechanics, and Jim’s eagle eye, we
are likely to find items that need to be addressed prior to purchase or can be negotiated into the
purchase price. We can come to the location of the plane (at your cost, of course), or you can have
the plane brought to us for this survey. From this review, we’ll provide a list of discrepancies
that you can discuss with the seller.  Like a home inspection prior to purchase, a pre-buy
survey is always a good value—even if it is just for your peace of mind!

Delivery Inspections

You’ve bought your new plane and you’re so excited to fly it home, but first, it is always smart to have
it looked over by a trained inspector to ensure all is working properly and everything that was supposed
to be repaired prior to delivery has been completed.

General Look-Overs

After being with the same service provider for a long time, sometimes its good to have a different set
of eyes take a look at your aircraft to ensure that nothing’s being missed and you’re getting adequate
service.  Our skilled mechanics will just do a “look-over” and let you know if they see anything
significant that needs to be addressed.  Sometimes it unveils serious negligence and sometimes it
confirms that you’re in good hands back at your shop.  Like a second opinion for medical issues,
it’s always good to confirm your provider’s diagnosis or learn of other options available.

Video Borescope Inspections

Overall performance of your aircraft relies on the health of your engine.   With our hi-tech video
borescope, like endoscopy, we can see inside the heart of your aircraft.  We can examine your
engine from the inside out, noting the wear and tear that is developing on your cylinders, valves,
guides and cam lobes.
