Engine Combustion Rate Vibration Profiling
****IOTECH wavebook and Snap Master analysis software "On-line" 1MHZ sample rate up to 16 channels, simultaneous sampling*****
Aviation Resources has developed a process that determines the combustion rate vibrations of internal combustion engines thru a proprietary procedure. We can "see" the combustion vibration levels produced by each cylinder in the engine as it is running and then compare the rates and levels with other cylinders. Mechanical, ignition, fuel or airflow issues will make a significant difference in the vibration characteristics of EACH INDIVIDUAL CYLINDER. Differences are felt as rough running engine, and intermittent missed or vibrations that vary with rpm change.
We can indentify and put a "number" on the combustion process vibration that is repeatable, using calibrated equipment to label each cylinder by number.
Results can show:
- Ignition system condition.
- Actual combustion produced vibration pulses by each cylinder in phases of engine operation.
- Engine vibration health trends that can be monitored to help indicate subtle wear issue such as valve and ring sealing, ignition system effects, etc., for each cylinder.
- Signitures produced by the engine are their "EKG" or "fingerprint" and are individual to each!
This isn't a "snake oil remedy!" It's a process utilizing computer-based and calibrated test equipment that attaches easily to internal combusiton engines within minutes!
The Cost?
Several program levels are available-starting with vibration trend samples to detailed analysis and adjustment procedures. Follow-up in-flight or ground run monitoring programs also available to fit your specific situation. We digitally encode and catalog the engine data for tracking vibration trends and future troubleshooting. Please contact us to detail our procedure for your situation.
Informed corrective actions can result in a detectably smoother, more powerful and more efficent running engine.
With this process, problems can be identified!
